ROTOSHEEZ

The Rotosheez operates on the principle of a slow-rotating shearing tool, performing bevels at angles from 20° to 45° on plates with a thickness of 6 to 30 mm. The angle adjustment is seamless, requiring no additional accessories. Depending on the angle, the maximum bevel width for carbon steel is 18 mm, while for stainless steel, it is 16 mm. The machine operates quietly.

The machine can be rotated thanks to a swivel mechanism on a spring-loaded chassis, allowing for beveling of the lower edge of the workpiece without the often challenging task of turning the workpiece itself. This process creates the bevel shape necessary for an X or K weld.

A self-locking clamping system allows for beveling both large plates and smaller pieces. When working with smaller plates, the machine automatically feeds the plate through the beveling unit. For larger plates, the machine moves itself along the edge being beveled. The processing speed is 2.6 m/min. The ROTOSHEEZ can also bevel some convex or concave edges of plates and is capable of beveling pipes with an internal diameter of 100 mm or more.

The tool is cone-shaped and can be re-sharpened flat multiple times. The cutter's lifespan depends on the hardness of the material being processed and the length of the workpieces. With a strength of 40 kg/mm², the cutter’s lifespan is an impressive 1000–3000 meters (based on practical experience), depending on the average length of processed pieces. For longer workpieces, the cutter's lifespan is significantly higher.
